How Do You Read The Spring Training Schedule?
Some people find it a snap to read train, airline and spring training game schedules, but most of us know that it takes a minute to familiarize ourselves with the grids involved. A few simple steps can make it easy for anybody to check the schedules and select the spring training games they plan to attend, watch on TV or listen to on the radio. Make a list of favorite teams and exciting rookies whose games you would like to see during spring training. Determine whether these teams hold their spring training in Florida, where exhibition games are played in the Grapefruit League or in Arizona, under the auspices of the Cactus League. Watch the papers for your favorites team’s spring training schedule, which is usually finalized and printed in the sports section of the team’s local newspaper a few weeks after the end of the regular season.
