Scripto butane lighters come in many shapes and styles, all of which are refillable. Scripto lighters can be quite expensive and, as an upper-end lighter, are not disposable the way other lighters are. They can last a lifetime with regular repairs and refills. To refill your lighter, you will need a butane lighter-refilling canister. This is a specialized canister full of liquid butane. Extinguish the flame on your lighter. Butane is highly flammable, so all refilling should be done away from all ignition sources. Turn the lighter upside down. You should see a small hole next to a small flat-headed screw. Use the small screwdriver to turn the screw clockwise as far as possible. This will set the size of the flame to the lowest level. Push the small screwdriver into the small hole to release air inside the lighter. Push until the hissing noise stops. Remove the cap from the butane canister.
