Believe it or not, you can own a home while saving money updating the look of the home at the same time. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets are not inexpensive to replace. Painting them is the most economical way to create a great look and stick to a budget. The following article will take you through the whole, simple process. Wash the cabinets down with warm water and a clean rag. When the cabinets are dry, rough the finish up with 220-grit sandpaper. Then wipe the dust off using a tack cloth or a dry rag. Paint a solid coat of Kilz primer or other sealer primer on the roughed-up surface. Allow to dry completely.
