This doesn’t always work, so instead I will tell how to use the Battery Method and also the CMOS Password Jumper Method. Step 1 To Reset the BIOS password by using CMOS jumper method, it may be necessary to look up the computer’s motherboard manual to find out where the CMOS jumper is or if it uses a jumper at all. If it does not mention a jumper, chances are removing the battery will reset the password. Step 2 Start by shutting down the PC. Step 3 Once the PC has been completely powered off, unplug all the wires from the back (including the Power Cable) and place the PC Tower on a flat non-carpeted surface for it to be worked on.
