How Do You Remove A Headlight Assembly From A 1997 Toyota Corolla?
The 1997 Toyota Corolla uses a sealed-beam headlight. The entire headlight assembly needs to be removed and replaced in a single unit. There are no individual bulbs to replace within the headlight assembly. You can buy a new headlight assembly from an auto parts store if needed. The assembly on the 1997 Corolla is easy to remove with common hand tools. Open the hood of your Toyota Corolla. Remove the screws retaining the headlight bezel using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the bezel from around the headlight assembly. Locate the four small screws securing the headlight assembly to the car. Do not remove the larger screws because these are aiming screws. Remove the small screws using a Phillips screwdriver. Set the screws aside. Pull the headlight assembly forward out of the mounting area. Disconnect the wiring harness from the rear of the assembly.
