Removing the window motor from your Jeep Liberty’s rear window may seem like a daunting task, but it’s actually very simple. It should take you about 30 minutes to remove the entire motor/regulator assembly. There are a few simple steps to the process. Step 1 Remove the door panel by removing the three screws from the door panel, and pull the panel off. There is one screw located inside the armrest. The second screw is at the top of the door panel, near the back of the driver’s seat, and the third screw is under the door handle. Hold onto the door panel and don’t let it drop, this could damage some of the wiring inside the door. Step 2 Gently unhook the wiring from the components inside the door. There will be wiring attached to your power window mechanism, and your power lock controls. Lay the door panel to the side with the screws, so you can find them later.
