Removing the side view mirror in your Camry is not difficult no matter what year or model you have. The procedure to remove the side view mirror is completely different in older models. The 2007 and newer Camry does not have a separate sail panel for the side view mirror; instead, the entire door panel must be removed. 2002 to 2006 Camry Step 1 Lower the window completely to make removing the side mirror easier. Step 2 Open the hood and unhook the negative (black) battery cable. Use the pliers to loosen the nut securing the cable to the terminal. Pull the terminal up to unhook it. Step 3 Pry off the sail panel directly across from the side view mirror. The sail panel is a small, black, triangular shaped panel at the corner of your door panel. Step 4 Disconnect the power window electrical connection. Hold the side view mirror with one hand and use the socket wrench to remove the bolts (three) with the other.
