How Do You Remove A Wine Cork Without A Winecork Remover?(Corkscrew)?

Well that is not a treatment to which I would be likely to subject any decent wine I would want to drink. If it’s cheap plonk and you just wanna get drunk, I doubt this would detract from that quality of it. One time the corkscrew broke and we screwed a long screw into the cork and pulled it out with a pair of pliers. It took 2 people and a few efforts, though- -the cork did not come out all in one piece. Another way is two very narrow and thin blades, drive one each side of the cork and squeeze together while pulling out. This really requires some coordination. I would now never be without a trusty Screwpull. The little “Classic style” kind is very handy- -you just keep turning the handle and the cork pulls out – – But the big Lever Action kind is AMAZING. To my unmechanical mind it is like magic. Flip the lever one way, then the other and the cork is out in 2 seconds.
