Baked-on grease is a huge problem whenever you bake on a cookie sheet. For some reason every bit of fat and oil from whatever you are cooking sticks and could take hours to remove. Instead of scrubbing your fingernails away, use these suggestions to remove baked-on grease from a cookie sheet. Place the cookie sheet into the sink if your sink is large enough for it to lay flat. Otherwise, place it on the counter. Pour the vinegar onto the cookie sheet. Add the dish soap to the vinegar. Pour 1 cup of hot water onto the cookie sheet. Allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes. Wash the cookie sheet as usual and the baked-on grease should slide right off. If for some reason the grease does not come off right away, repeat Steps 1 through 5 and allow the mixture to sit for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
