0

Maintaining a stain free concrete walkway, counter top or patio can be frustrating due to the porous nature of concrete. Everything from paint, oil and blood can easily stain concrete ruining it’s rustic beauty in the process. Blood unfortunately is one of the most difficult substances to remove from concrete or any other porous material. But with a little effort, you can work to remove blood from almost any concrete surface. Dab up any extra moisture with a clean lint-free cloth if the blood stain is fresh. Take a stiff bristled brush and gently brush the stain. Work the bristles deep into the crevices. Wipe or brush away any blood particles. Mix a mixture of strong dishwater detergent like Dawn and water in a ratio of one cup to one tablespoon. With the stiff bristled brush, scrub the stain until it lightens. Continue to scrub with soap mixture until the stain is removed. Dab the stain with hydrogen peroxide if the stain is still present. Dab with dry, clean lint-free cloth.
