How Do You Remove Carpet Glue From Concrete Steps?

0

Removing carpet glue from concrete has traditionally been a difficult chore. It is made even harder when you are dealing with concrete steps. In the past, the most reliable method of removing carpet glue from concrete was to use boiling water to soften the glue then scrape it away. While that method is still effective, there are new methods available that are easier and more efficient. One of the more innovative ways uses a soy-based product. Remove as much of the carpet remnant as possible. Apply the soy-based adhesive remover as directed by the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow the adhesive remover to stand for at least 30 minutes (more if recommended by the manufacturer). Remove the softened carpet glue with the heavy duty scraper and move all debris from the steps. Mop the concrete steps with the warm, soapy water, and then let the steps dry.
