If a cigarette fell on your wood floor and left a burn mark, you can't turn back time but you can save the floor. There are ways to remove the awful burn. Use caution, though, as wood is very sensitive and if the bad spot is removed incorrectly, it may have devastating effects on the wood. The following steps will help you in your efforts. Buy powdered pumice stone and linseed oil. You may find these products at any retailer that carries or works with wood. Make a paste of the two materials in a bowl. Rub the paste onto the burn with a soft clean cloth. Rub it in the direction of the wood grain. Continue to apply the paste and rub until the burn mark is removed. Polish the wooded area. more
