How Do You Remove Clear Coat Scratches?
It’s frustrating to discover that your vehicle has been scratched or abraded in any way. If the damage in question is limited to clear coat scratches, though, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Clear coat scratches are quite easy to repair, and there’s no need to take the car to an overpriced auto detailer for cosmetic touch-ups. Give the exterior of your automobile a thorough cleaning. Excess dirt and grime left on the outside of the vehicle will work its way into the cloth and/or foam pad of your power buffer, potentially making the scratches on your vehicle worse. Briefly soak a cotton cloth in clean water. Rub the cloth over the scratched area in a clockwise direction, using firm but gentle pressure. This is a preliminary step to gauge whether you’ll need something more abrasive to correct the problem.
