How Do You Remove Crayon From An Aqua Doodle Mat?
Crayons are made up of pigment and paraffin wax, two non-toxic ingredients that make for quite a mess when trying to remove them from unwanted services. There are several techniques you can use to remove crayons, depending on the surface they are adhered to. Aquadoodle mats have two layers to them – a white fabric made of blended polyester and cotton and a plastic backing. Both of these surfaces are some of the easiest materials to remove crayon marks from; however, crayon will not penetrate past the fabric layer, even though it is porous. Turn the mat upside down on a thick bedding of paper towels. Make sure the mat is away from all food preparation areas and toys. Spray the spot with WD-40 and wait five minutes. A light spray will do. Do not saturate. The WD-40 will loosen the crayon’s bond to the fabric. Flip the mat over and spray again. Wait another five minutes.
