Polishing the stainless steel might make the scratches less noticeable, but the only way to remove them is to add new metal. Which you can only do by welding. Which I would NOT recommend doing. You could always just find a suitable replacement part though. As for the glass, again, polishing will help. The only way to really remove them would be to heat the glass with a torch and liquefy it enough to glaze it back together…which really only just thins out the top to fill in the scratches. You would still need to ensure a smooth and uniform surface…and then polish it smooth. Simpler bet is to replace the glass piece.
