The Subaru WRX, officially known as the Subaru Impreza WRX, is a high-performance version of the popular Subaru Impreza sedan. Since most of the WRX upgrades are under the hood and on the exterior, removing the door trim in a WRX is the same as in a standard Impreza. Unhook your negative battery cable before beginning. Pull the door handle open, and slide the cover around it to remove it. Locate the small black trim panel a few inches below the door arm grip. Pry this panel off and remove the screw located behind it. Inspect the door arm grip to find the retainer plug (facing the front of the vehicle).
