Ceramic flooring is low maintenance, durable and stylish, with varied patterns and colors. Restoring a ceramic floor is an easy home project. It is important to take precautions when cleaning spots from ceramic tile to avoid scratching or chipping it. Removing a spot of stuck glue is a challenge, but either a natural or a chemical process will make your floor like new again. Freeze the area with dry ice by holding the ice on the glue for a minute. Wear gloves to protect your hands from the dry ice. Chip off the frozen glue with a plastic putty knife. Use a heat gun as an alternative to dry ice. Hold the heat gun over the glue until it becomes soft and gummy. Scrape the glue away with the putty knife. Use a cloth to apply adhesive remover over the area with glue. Let the adhesive remover stand for five minutes. Wipe the glue and adhesive remover away with a second cloth. Clean the floor with water or a cleaning solution to remove any residue.
