How Do You Remove Grease Stains From Leather & Suede Fabrics?

0

Leather and suede fabrics need regular maintenance and preventive care to stay in prime shape. Stains are difficult to remove from these fabrics and may not come out on the first try or at all. In the event these fabrics become stained with grease, a leather degreaser or art gum eraser are your best bets to get your fabric back in top form again. Though cleaning these fabrics is possible, some grease stains may not come out. Soak up any excess grease on the leather or suede fabric. Dab at the grease stain with a paper towel or cloth until the extra grease is absorbed. Shake a small amount of cornstarch or talcum powder onto the grease stain. Allow the substance to remain on the stain for about 4 hours before wiping off. Repeat as necessary. Gently apply an art gum eraser to suede fabrics. Brush the eraser over the affected area until the stain is gone. Apply a leather degreaser to grease-stained leather fabrics. Most come in aerosol cans, so spray the affected area with the product.
