How Do You Remove Greasy Food Stains?

0

Greasy food stains can be tricky to get rid of–and no one wants to walk around with food on her clothes. Instead of getting frustrated or trying to machine wash grease-stained clothing, use one of these simple tricks to make your garments stain-free. Drip several drops of Dawn dish soap onto the stained area. Allow the garment to sit for three to five minutes. Blot the stained area with an absorbent paper towel. Wash the clothing as you normally would. Lightly pat a dry absorbent–such as cornstarch, salt, baby powder, or talcum powder–onto the stain. Brush off the absorbent after two minutes. Lay down a paper towel and put the stained garment face down on top of it. Pat the back of the stain with a dry cleaning solvent, such as DOWPER. Spray a pre-treatment product on the grease stain and hand wash it in hot water. Air dry the clothing instead of putting it in the dryer.
