How Do You Remove Gum From Fabric Or Clothing?

Have you ever gotten gum on your clothing, your children got it on the couch or you unknowingly stepped on your carpet and didn’t realize it was on the bottom of your shoe? Chewing gum can be very difficult and frustrating to remove but if you follow these easy steps it will come off in a cinch!! Gather all of the materials and make sure you have enough space to work with. Chill the area with an ice cube and scrape off whatever you can. Either blot the area with a citrus solvent or apply a dime sized amount of BenGay to the gum. (I have tried both and find that the BenGay works better.) Heat the area with a hair dryer and use the plastic wrap to pick off the residue. Blot the area with dish washing soap (not laundry detergent) and then rinse with luke warm water.
