If a watchband, also called a bracelet, fits too loosely on your wrist, you can always remove a link to make the band smaller. The most common type of watch link has push-in pins, which hold the links together. Resizing a watch band does not take any experience working with watches, but you should be careful during this process to avoid scratching your watchband. Place your watch on a soft cloth as you resize the band. Turn your watch on its side so the links are vertical. If you look on the inside of the watch band on the links closest to the clasp, you will see arrows that point in the direction that the pins must be pushed out. If you look on the edge of the link closest to the base of the arrow you will see a small circle where the pin is inserted. Only the three or four links on each side of the clasp have removable pins.
