Scanning photos from books, magazines and newspapers often results in an unsightly interference pattern called moire. If your scanner doesn’t offer descreening, it’s not too hard to remove yourself.Difficulty: AverageTime Required: 5 minutesHere’s How: • Scan the image at a resolution approximately 150-200% higher than what you need for final output. • In the View menu choose Normal Viewing 1:1 • Go to Effects > Enhance Photo > Moire pattern removal. • Increase the fine details number gradually until the pattern is gone. • Use the proof button to preview the changes on the full image. • In the Moire Pattern Removal dialog, zoom out to 1:3. • If you still see patterns or splotches, increase the Remove bands setting until it is diminished. Otherwise, skip to step 9. • Use the proof button to preview the results and adjust if neccessary. Click OK when satisfied. • Go to Image > Resize. Activate the Actual / print size section and adjust the resolution and print size for the desired output
