How do you remove motor oil from concrete
Many garages are made out of concrete because concrete, if poured correctly, is strong and will not crack, chip or split easily. Concrete is a porous material, however, which means that it easily absorbs stains. Avoid staining your floor by sealing concrete and by cleaning any stains up at quickly as possible. Sprinkle clean kitty litter on top of the motor oil as soon as you notice the spill. This will absorb it and will prevent it from soaking into the concrete. Sprinkle until the area is completely dry. Sweep the kitty litter and motor oil into a dustpan. Sprinkle more kitty litter if there is still a motor oil residue. Sprinkle powdered dishwasher detergent over the motor oil stain until it is completely covered. Add just enough hot water to make a thick paste. Scrub the stain with a hard-bristled brush. Do not use a wire brush, as it will remove any concrete sealant you may have on the floor. Wipe up the detergent once the stain has been removed. Rinse the area with clear hot wate
