Removing paint completely from concrete walls is a difficult process. The level of success you’ll experience will depend largely on the nature of the concrete. The harder and smoother the wall is, the easier the paint will be to remove, with porous walls requiring far more effort. Doing so without chemicals is nearly impossible, but with a good deal of hard work and time it you can experience success. Use a rubbing stone purchased from a hardware store, if the paint is contained in a small area. Wearing a pair of gloves, move the stone in small circles over the paint, applying firm pressure until the paint begins to come up from the surface of the concrete. Obtain a sandblaster from your local equipment rental shop to use if the area is too large for rubbing stones. Protect the area by covering nearby items with tarps, taped into place.
