It has happened to everyone. You paint a room very carefully or even go to the extent of taping and tarping. When you are done, you stand back and realize that there are a few spots of paint on the carpet. There is one very simple, very overlooked “cleaning” solution. Get down on the floor and examine the damage. Most paint splatters lightly cover the very top of the individual carpet threads. If this is the case, let the paint dry. If the paint is soaked to the base of the carpet, you will need to move on to carpet and rug cleaning solutions that are specifically made for the paint removal. If the paint is only on the tips of the carpet and the carpet is dry you are ready. Once again, you will need to get all the way down on the floor.
