How Do You Remove Permanent Magic Marker Stains From A Books Binding?
It is frustrating finding a magic marker stain on the binding of a rare or favorite book. Don’t scold the children just yet; stain removal can be as easy as rounding up a few typical household items. Find others, such Absorene Book Cleaner, at your local art supply store. Be patient and test your choice of removal method in an obscure place, such as the back or inside of the book’s binding, before dousing the entire cover. Gently rub a pencil eraser along the magic marker stain. Brush away eraser residue and repeat. If on a white book binding, dab a soft cloth into a bit of bleach to pat along the stain. If on a colored cover, use color-safe bleach. Leave the binding to set; check later and repeat if necessary. Wet a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and run along the stain. Use the non-abrasive side first.
