How Do You Remove Polyurethane Paint From Carpet?

If you have a “handy” man or woman around the house, you can easily clean up their inadvertent messes. Removing polyurethane paint from carpet is much less difficult than most people think. Even if it’s dried on and hardened, you can still remove the stain nearly completely; no one will be able to tell it was ever there. Remove excess paint. Scrape off hardened, dried-on polyurethane. Use a metal or plastic scraper and try to remove big chunks as much as possible. Vacuum spot to remove small particles. If polyurethane is not yet hardened, use old rags to scoop up as much of the wet product as you can. Scrub with acetone nail polish remover or just plain acetone. Saturate the carpet by pouring a small amount right on the stain. Then scrub stain with a rough cloth or a soft brush. Soak up excess by blotting with clean cloths. Scrub with Dawn dish soap. Mix 1 tbsp. Dawn dish soap with 2 qt. hot water. Use this solution to scrub spot with soft brush. Rinse with clean water. Blot dry. A goo

I prefer to use cleaning services. I have expensive carpets so I don’t risk cleaning such difficult things in my own

Honestly, I would not try to do it be my hands. As I have beautiful antique rugs from the DorisLeslieBlau, I would better trust their cleaning to the professionals. By the way, this gallery also provides a cleaning service as I remember. I know that is very risky to clean natural rugs with the usual cleaning liquids. They can destroy texture and colors. So, you can make rugs shed that way. If you already own a high-quality rug, remember that it has value and take care of it properly!

I also think that you shouldn’t do this on your own. You can do a lot of damage to your carpet and completely ruin it. Try to contact urgent carpet repair professionals, they will definitely help you solve this problem. They will clean your carpet even with the most severe issues. Any paint is difficult to wash out of the rug. I have no idea how you could be so careless about it. I advise you next time to use paint in a place without a carpet or put a bag on it. I made the same mistake before realizing that it was best to use a bag to protect the carpet. We all learn from our mistakes. Good luck with that.

I am not sure if it is possible to remove polyurethane paint from the carpet, but you will have to contact a professional carpet cleaning service anyway.
I consider it is the only solution.
Of course, not any carpet cleaning service will help you, but there is a company I used to contact when I need to clean up my carpets. They provide pleasant and friendly service

They also provide water repairing services.
