How Do You Remove Salt Stains From Hardwood Floors?

0

When people spread salt on sidewalks to melt snow and ice, streaky white salt stains on your hardwood flooring and carpets inevitably follow. Fortunately, it’s easy to remove stains left by the salt residue on hardwood floors with products you already may have in your home. Vacuum or sweep the floor area to prepare for stain removal. Dilute the wood floor cleaner with water in the bucket. Follow the product directions. Dip the cleaning cloth in the floor cleaning solution and wring it out. Gently wipe in a circular motion over the salt stains, taking care not to get the hardwood flooring too wet. Rinse the cloth and repeat until all of the salt residue is gone. Buff the floor area with a dry cloth to restore the shine.
