In order to restore the finish and protect the marble from further damage, a coating of high-quality paste wax must be applied once the scratches have been removed. Wash counter top with warm water and liquid soap and rinse with plain water. Attach a buffing pad to your electric drill. Pour a half-dollar-sized glop of the buffing compound onto the scratched area of your cultured marble. Use the drill and the buffing pad to buff out the surface until the scratches disappear.
