Remember- whatever you use to fill in the scratches will also be a double edged sword. It will serve your cosmetic purpose but prohibit the function of the device as intended. in other words, whatever is used to fill in the scratches will also block light, and since we are talking about an LCD display it could very well block enough light to mess up your display. I’d try to stick with those substances that are transparent – you’ll block less light this way … the thickness is what will matter here. On the other hand, maybe you can get an old gameboy with a good screen. Open them up and pop in a new screen. The most you may have to do is some basic soldering work which i personally doubt – I think they probably attach to the main board via a mini ribbon cable.
