Extra fine grade steel wool is available at hardware stores and home improvement stores. Cut approximately a 4 inch to 6 inch length of the steel wool and fold it in half. Gently rub the extra fine steel wool over the shoe scuff mark. Be sure to rub the steel wool in the same direction as the grain of your hardwood floor until the shoe scuff mark disappears.
