How Do You Remove Sticker Glue From Wood Furniture?
There is nothing worse than purchasing a beautiful piece of furniture only to discover that the manufacturer placed a sticker right on the stained or painted wood—and right in plain view. Pulling the sticker almost always results in left-behind backing and glue. This glue will come off, but you must be cautious about the product that you use to remove the glue to keep from taking part of the finish with it. Heat the sticker glue with a hair dryer set on high, and use the plastic putty knife to scrape off as much of the glue as possible. Hold the putty knife at a sharp angle while scraping to avoid scratching the furniture. The hair dryer will soften the adhesive so that it becomes more pliable. Rub mineral spirits on an inconspicuous area of the piece of furniture. Wait five minutes and use a clean rag to wipe over the area to check if the finish has lifted.
