Most stains are easy to clean, wipe up and remove from polyester due to its durable shell. Adhesives, such as gum, tape and glue adhere easily to the fabric. To remove an adhesive material from polyester fabric, use a few common household items. Cut a piece of Scotch tape the size of the adhesive mark. Place the tape over the sticky substance. Rub your finger over the tape to allow as much as possible of the stain to be removed at once. Pull the tape off. The sticky substance will attach to the tape and come off.
