Unplug the dryer from the electrical outlet to prevent accidental shock that could possibly result in death. Move the unit away from the wall to have ample room to work in. Locate the lower panel on the back of the dryer. It will be connected by two screws that are holding it in place. This is a panel that is also referred to as the idler pulley control panel. With a screw driver, remove the panel. Once you have removed the lower panel on the back of the unit, the back panel will be ready for removal.
