Most Moen shower faucet handles use a single screw hidden behind a decorative cap in the center of the handle to secure the handle to the faucet stem. Some handles however, will require that you twist the handle sleeve to unlock the handle from the faucet assembly. If your shower faucet has separate controls for flow and temperature, you will need to unlock the handles. Turn off the water supply to the shower. The shut-off valves are behind the shower wall. The access to the shut-off valves is usually in an adjacent room or closet. If you cannot find the shut-off valves, turn off the main water supply to the house. Remove the decorative cap in the center of the Moen temperature faucet handle. Carefully pry the cap out of the faucet handle with a small flat head screwdriver.
