How Do You Remove The Nonstick Surface From Old Calphalon Pots & Pans?

0

Calphalon has created a line of nonstick cookware that allow for baking and cooking with greater ease. Sometimes the nonstick surface can get damaged. When that happens, you may decide to remove the rest of the nonstick covering. You can resurface the cookware after you remove the nonstick coating if you wish. The process involves applying extreme temperatures and a lot of force. Heat the pot or pan over high heat to wear down the finish. Clean the pot or pan with a Brillo pad and a harsh scouring product. Scrub hard on the inside of the pot or pan. This will continue the process of wearing off the nonstick coating. Scrape the inside of the pot or pan with a metal knife or scraping tool. This will remove most of the nonstick covering that remains. Try to scrape in even rows. Scrub the pot pan again with the Brillo pad and scouring product. Rinse off the removed coating. Dry the pot or pan thoroughly with a towel. Repeat Steps 2 to 4 until all of the nonstick coating has been removed.
