If you need to change the rear tire or repair the rear axle of a Honda Elite scooter, you will need to remove the rear shocks. Also, if you need to rebuild the rear shock you will have to remove it from the Honda Scooter. There are two bolts on each of the rear shocks securing them to the frame and axle of the Honda Scooter. Your Honda Scooter dealer will have the wrench that you will need to remove the bolts. Push the Honda Scooter onto even ground. Use the motorcycle jack to raise the rear end of the Honda Scooter. Locate the bolts that are securing the left and right rear shocks to the frame and the axle. One bolt will be at the top of the shock, connecting the shock to the frame, and one bolt will be at the lower part of the shock, connecting the shock to the axle. Remove the bolt at the top of the shock using the Honda Scooter wrench, then remove the bolt at the bottom of the shock securing the shock to the axle.
