How Do You Remove Typewriter Ink Mistakes From Paper?

0

Not many people use old fashioned typewriters anymore. But, if you find yourself using a typewriter and have no correction tape or “White Out”, here’s an easy trick to remove mistakes. This solution works best with small (one or two letter) typed errors. Tear off a 1 or 2 inch piece of the tape (depending on the size of the printed error). Run the tape over the back of your hand once or twice to remove some of the adhesive (the reason for this is to prevent tearing the paper when removing the tape from the mistake). Place the treated tape directly onto the word or letter on the page and rub gently with a dull pencil, pen or coin. Keep the rubbing on the taped part exclusively. Lift the tape gently off of the paper and the mistake should come right up with it.
