Pet stains on any surface can be irritating, but you may find yourself quite perplexed when it comes to getting these stains and odors out of your nice wood floors. While some caution must be applied so as not to damage the floors, removing this odor is an easier task than you may expect. Wipe away any moisture if the accident is fresh with paper towels. Pour 3 percent hydrogen peroxide directly onto the affected area. Pour enough to completely saturate the area. Soak a clean white cloth in 3 percent hydrogen peroxide. Place the cloth directly onto the stain, making sure the entire stain is covered. Cover the cloth with plastic wrap. Place something heavy such as phone book on top of the cloth and plastic wrap to weigh it down. Allow the area to soak for at least 24 hours. Check the area every 2 to 3 hours and replace the cloth as it becomes dark
