Purchase a zip tool from a home improvement center. This tool costs under $5 and is designed specifically for siding removal. The tool features a flat hook on the end that is used to detach the siding. Slide the zip tool under the corner lip of the uppermost panel. Use a curving motion to hook the zip tool under the siding panel. There is a small notch under the panel, although you will likely not be able to see it.
