Take your smoothing tool and smooth the new clay down and get out as many bumps as you can in the clay. Take your paint brush and apply a little of the liquid sculpey and smooth out the rest of the bumps. At this point you shouldn’t be able to see the crack at all, if you can still see the crack, add another very thing layer of clay to the neck and repeat the smooth process.
