The headlight assembly on the Ford Explorer is a sealed unit. Over time, moisture may work its way into the housing assembly due to failure of the seal that holds the headlight housing lens to the main housing. The moisture can then cause the bulb inside the housing to explode. Fortunately, the headlight housing assembly can be repaired if the seal has failed. Once you have removed the headlight housing assembly from the Explorer, you’ll need to know how to reseal it.
