They are one of the most-recognized names in the faucet business and have built their reputation on the reliability of their products. Moen one-handle kitchen faucets are commonly found in many kitchens and can need a repair here and there like any other faucet. Following a few easy steps can help you save money and fix your Moen one-handle faucet yourself. Shut off your water by locating the main water supply and turning the shut-off valve until you hear the water turn off. Remove the Moen faucet handle by using an Allen wrench to loosen the screw at the base of the handle. Once the screw has been removed, twist the handle gently from side to side until it comes off. Unscrew the faucet bonnet at the base of the faucet assembly with your hand. If the bonnet doesn't loosen with your hand, wrap a rag around the bonnet and carefully twist it off with a wrench.
