Step 1 Remove the old pool cue tip completely from the pool cue with a sharp knife and make sure all remnants of the old tip are gone from the ferule or ivory cap at the end of the pool cue. Dab a small amount of nail polish remover on a paper towel and clean the ferrule of the pool cue, removing any dirt or old glue. Step 2 Place a small drop of super glue on the base of the new pool cue tip and glue the tip to the pool cue ferrule. Hold the tip securely in place until it has enough time to dry.
