How Do You Repair Cracked Plaster Walls?

0

As houses shift and settle, plaster can crack or become separated from the wooden lath behind it. Repairing plaster permanently is quick and easy to do. DRILL – Drill holes 2″ from the crack on either side. Stop when you hit the lath behind the plaster. VACUUM – Remove dust and debris from drill holes with a vacuum. SPRAY – Spray Big Wally’s Conditioner into each hole. Wait 10 minutes. GLUE – Gently inject Big Wally’s PlasterMagic into each hole. CLAMP – Temporarily clamp the wall or ceiling with screws and 2″ plastic washers-bring the plaster gently back to its original plane. WIPE – Clean off excess adhesive with sponge and hot water and wait 24-48 hours. FILL – Remove the screws and washers after the adhesive has cured. Fill holes and cracks with joint compound using the putty knife. Finished! The plaster has been stabilized. The wall or ceiling is now ready to be prepped for painting or finishing.
