Ceramic tile can end up with hairline cracks for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you dropped something heavy on the tile, such as a cast iron cooking pan. If your ceramic tile was installed over new concrete, the tile may crack as the concrete settles. Whatever the reason for the hairline cracks in your ceramic tile floor, you can remedy them yourself without having to call a professional. After the repair, your ceramic tiles should look as stunning as they did the day they were installed. Identify the cause of the cracks. If your house was built recently and the flooring is shifting, you may want to wait six months until the flooring has completely settled before you begin to repair the tile. If you do not, new cracks may appear after the repair. Apply a clear epoxy resin to any hairline cracks you find.
