How Do You Repair Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 With SP1?

Microsoft often releases service packs to repair problems that users encounter in various applications and Internet Explorer 6 is no exception. The service pack for IE 6 is “Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1.” This is a full installation of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. According to Microsoft, Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 is included with Windows XP SP1. If you are running this version of Windows and have installed Service Pack 1 then you do not need to download Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1. Obtain Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1. You can download it from Microsoft’s website or you can order a copy on CD (see “Resources” section below). Open the folder containing Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 and double-click on the file. Click “Run” on the dialog box to begin installation. Follow the on-screen directions and select the desired options. The size of the file is 77MB but this could be less depending on the options you select. Restart your computer to complete the installation.
