Loosen the lug nuts by turning them 45 degrees using a tire wrench. Place the jack under the front jack point of your vehicle and jack it up off the ground. Place the jack stands under the front pinch welds and lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. Jack the vehicle up under the rear jack point, place jack stands on either side of the vehicle under the rear pinch welds and lower the vehicle onto the stands. Remove the lug nuts and pull the wheels off. Cover the tire using some newspaper and masking tape. Cover any area you do not want painted. Sand the rim to rough up the surface.
