How Do You Repair Windows XP Command?

0

Windows XP has a repair process that lets you run a command to reinstall the operating system without overwriting any of your data. This process is called a “Repair Installation” and is a great troubleshooting step if you are having problems figuring out what is wrong with your computer. You need a CD with Windows XP on it to get started; this would have come with your computer. Restart your computer after you insert the XP CD into your CD drive. Follow the “Press any key to boot from CD” directions by pressing any key on your keyboard. Press the “Enter” key at the setup welcome screen. After you’ve read (and only if you agree with) the installation license, press “F8.” Select your installation of Windows XP (you probably only have one on your computer, if you’re like most people) with your arrow keys. Press the “R” key to repair your Windows XP operating system.
