How Do You Replace A Bathroom Vent Fan?
When the bathroom fan does not seem to be working efficiently or is too noisy, it may need to be replaced. Before purchasing a new bathroom fan, measure the size of the bathroom, and buy one that can handle the bathroom size. Once you know how to replace a bathroom vent fan, you can have the new one installed in a couple of hours. Disconnect the power to the bathroom vent by turning off the circuit breaker. Insert a flathead screwdriver between the cover plate and the ceiling, and unsnap the cover plate from the vent housing. Remove the motor by unscrewing the attaching screws with a screwdriver. Disconnect the wires from the motor by either unscrewing the terminal screws or unsnapping the plastic quick connect harness. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the housing into the ceiling. Carefully lower the housing, and remove the vent duct from the bathroom fan by unscrewing the clamp. Use a screwdriver to loosen the electrical cable clamp on the housing. Slide the cable out
